The History of TNMMC 1999 - 2002

The story of TNMMC really started back in the Summer 1998, but the club was not officially formed until the following year. My interest in Wet & Messy activities dates back much further though. I'm not confident of exactly when but I was certainly playing around with things like eggs and custard in my underpants whilst still in my later years of schooling. Not frequently at the time, but sufficient to culture the interest into the full blown fetish within a few years. You may well ask; why just underpants? The answer is quite simple, it was the easiest garment to wash out by hand and dry overnight without my parents becoming suspicious. For many years although I loved the feeling of wet and slimy clothing on me I honestly thought that I was alone in this and no one on earth would feel the same. I guess we all felt similar at one time, but we all realised we weren't alone at some later date. For me it wasn't until I got on the internet early in 1997 when I found to my surprise I wasn't alone in my feelings of wet or messy clothing, and there weren't just a few more who enjoyed it but thousands.

For a few months after getting online I surfed the net for WAM related sites and soon found I made contacts through the various groups like Yahoo and MSN and got chatting on a regular basis with a few like minded people. One in particular remained a close friend and was heavily involved in the early days of TNMMC and helped in numerous ways. His name was Phil Claydon, he was very much into mud fun at the time, but soon began getting interested in using foodstuffs. He was also a cross dresser and dressed this way for many of his messy activities. Sadly just last year (2005) he passed away after suffering from cancer for two years. He'll be greatly missed by many, not just me in the world of Wet & Messy Fun; but he'll never be forgotten.

It was through chatting to him online that he introduced me to the only fetish magazine which caters entirely for WAM. Splosh! you've probably all heard of it so it doesn't really need much of an introduction from myself, so I'll not say much about it's contents etc; now. I duly subscribed to it and my first issue arrived a few days later. I read that magazine from cover to cover time and time again, I was completely hooked and mesmerised by it. It transpired this particular issue was the first one which featured any colour photographs, albeit only a few in the centre pages but they were colour. It was in this magazine I read an advert from two 'sploshing' sisters who advertised their services of having messy fun with anyone for a small fee. I didn't give the advert much thought at first, but it somehow stayed in my mind.

The colour photographs in Splosh! caught my imagination, partially because I was at the time a freelance professional photographer and had my own small studio here in Bristol (later to become the Messy Studio of TNMMC). I began wondering if I could take any similar photographs to those in the magazine and began experimenting with playing around with varying amounts of messy foodstuffs to literally see if the plastic covering on the floor would cope and not give way or split. I wasn't so concerned with the walls as only the occasional pie etc: would hit them, so the plastic over the walling would definitely cope. Over a period of two or three months and managing to contain everything successfully I decided I'd confide in a friend of mine my idea and see if he'd help me put it to the ultimate test of giving me a thorough gunging. He was somewhat surprised at my request, but he agreed to help out. A couple of days later I was being covered in messy foods from head to toe, I was really enjoying it, but I wasn't going to tell him that. He thought it was just in the name of a practical test. Well! we succeeded and the studio coped admirably with everything we threw at it and at the floor. Clean up wasn't too bad, and although time consuming it was acceptable. I was already planning something in my mind as I cleaned up the room.

About a week later I was phoning one of the girls who advertised, and asking her if she and her sister would be prepared to come to Bristol and mess each other up as I took a series of photographs. She was just a little taken aback by my proposal especially as I said I didn't particularly want to get messed up myself. Anyway it was agreed they would come to my studio and the relevant fee was settled. I put a cheque in the post so it would have plenty of time to clear before they made their journey from London. Everything was set, and within less than two weeks later I was opening the door to the girls. I made a drink for us before going to the studio, and as we drank I told them my plans and the ideas behind it. I openly admitted to them I loved to get messy myself, but on this occasion I'd be content to just take the photographs. Within a short time we were all in the studio which I'd carefully covered with plastic sheeting long before they arrived. On a table against the back wall was a whole host of lovely messy foods which consisted of flan cases filled with custard and cream, containers of custard, cartons of cream, tins of rice pudding and finally about three dozen eggs. Modest by the standards of food and the quantities the studio would see in the days when TNMMC 'buzzed'. The session started and both girls happily covered each other with gunge, my camera worked overtime and flash followed flash as picture after picture was captured on film.

Eventually when just about all the food was now over the girls and on the floor, they began slowing down and saying that was it for the day. I wondered why they'd left three custard pies and four eggs and a container of cream on the table. I wasn't left wondering for long. Little did I know but they'd already made up their mind I wasn't going to stay clean if they didn't. Almost as soon as I put the cameras down one of the sisters grabbed my arm and pulled me onto the plastic of the floor, and the other one duly slapped the first pie onto my face, this was quickly followed by yet another one with the final one being slapped onto my backside. Four eggs were broken just over my head and allowed to run down my face and into my shirt. I'd been given a baptism which I wasn't expecting. Now I was messed up, I thought a couple of extra pics of me with the girls wouldn't go amiss so I cleaned my hands and setting the camera back on the tripod set the self timer on it and stood between the girls for a final two or three photographs.

After the girls and myself had cleaned ourselves up we all returned to the living room and sat down and chatted about WAM in general. I asked how many others had paid to have a messy session with them, and was told they had several enquiries, but most had been from 'cranks' who only wanted to know about the underwear they wore, and not interested in being messy at all. Although they had previously had some genuine sessions with five or six guys, but really they were disappointed because their advert had been running for almost two years up to that time and hadn't produced the response they expected. Apparently they had been asked a few times if there was anywhere which catered for Splosh Parties, where a few guys could all get messy with a few girls in one place. Up until that time they hadn't found anywhere which was suitable, but now they'd seen my studio they asked if I'd be prepared to rent it out for such a thing. I gave it some thought over the next few days and eventually phoned her back to tell her I was in agreement. She was delighted, and we tried to arrange a Splosh Party for the following month. It was almost a disaster only one guy turned up, apart from the girls. It ended up as a foursome because I was counted in, so between us it was good fun but not what we'd expected.

On chatting to the guy afterwards, he said maybe the idea would be not necessarily parties to cater for groups of people, but to specialise in single private sessions. Between the girls and myself it was decided we'd set up a club specifically for this with my studio becoming the venue. We wanted to think of a suitable name for the club, but we couldn't think of anything with a catchy enough name which would be remembered. We then came up with an idea of combining our names in some way to create a club name. To this day I can't remember exactly who came up with the order of T.N.M.M, but it was decided on our ages, the eldest first descending to the youngest. It wasn't long before the 'C' was added for club. Now we had to think of wording which would go with the letters and in no time at all we'd decided on The Naughty Mucky Messers Club. All that remained was to make a list of club rules which would have to be adhered to by anyone who booked messy sessions. All this was in 1999, but membership was slow to start and it wasn't until Bill Shipton of Splosh! gave the club excellent coverage by publishing the pictures I'd taken of the two sisters and advertising the club generally in the Classified Section.

It wasn't long after TNMMC began taking regular weekly bookings that Bill Shipton contacted me to ask if I'd be prepared to travel to East Sussex to visit him and the Splosh! studios because he was very impressed by the photos I'd given him of the girls. I had no idea what he wanted me for, but gladly accepted the invite. I drove down to St Leonards-on-Sea in Sussex- the home of Splosh! taking one of our girls with me, as Bill had requested to see here too. It was on this occasion she and I were introduced to one of WAM's best known messy models - Samantha Jane. I'd seen her photographs in just about every magazine I'd received, but to meet her face to face was just like meeting royalty to me. I honestly admired her, she was not only good looking, but was more than happy to be covered from head to foot in anything you like to name. Little did I know then that she would become one of TNMMC's regular models and would do almost as many sessions in Bristol as any other of our girls.

Neither of us had long to wait before finding out what he wanted. With myself it was an offer to become one of his regular photographers, and to do photo-shoots each month for publication. I wasn't going to turn this offer down so gladly accepted the assignments. I knew it would be demanding and hard work but I'd sure enjoy it. For the model who accompanied me to Sussex, it was an invite to appear in a video Bill was planning on shooting featuring most of Splosh's models. She also accepted, but regretfully for her the video didn't get filmed for some reason. To say she was disappointed would be an understatement, but I made sure she featured in several photo-sets which included Sammy Jane and also other Splosh! models.

TNMMC was now getting busier and busier, and new girls were joining the ranks of Messy Models every few weeks. I soon found that I was being tracked down by WAM lovers everywhere to give advice on what messy substances are best, which are easiest to clean up, which ones look better with this and that, and also many requests to come and visit the studio during photo-shoots to watch the messy action. Unfortunately because of the size of the studio this was never possible, but I'd have happily allowed anyone to watch if it had been. There were also a lot of guys wanting to know if they could appear in photo-shoots for publication in Splosh!, once again it wasn't possible because at the time they never published any photographs of guys, it was exclusively girls. I had no say in the matter the decision was all down to Bill Shipton, I could only do what Bill wanted to see or publish. This didn't mean I couldn't do shoots for ourselves, and I did do a few small scale shoots which I published some of the photos in the bi-monthly newsletter which was sent out to each paid up member of the club.

The club began taking off in a way which I at least never envisaged, it was now commanding more and more work on my part to ensure we catered for what the membership wanted. I tried as far as possible to let members have the session of their dreams. Regardless of what foodstuffs, gunge, paint or clay the member wanted we'd supply it, and the girls would happily take the lot. We also found the sessions becoming more involved and messier week by week, with one session standing out clearly in my mind now. It was from one of our regular members who we nicknamed 'The Porridge Man', the name speaks for itself. He'd prepare all his own porridge and bring it with him from Northamptonshire. On this one occasion he used twelve full buckets of porridge in one session. The clean up afterwards was horrendous and I ended up dumping most of it at the bottom of the garden to form what was affectionately known by the girls and some of our members as The Porridge Swamp. I can see the funny side of it now, but at the time it wasn't so funny.

By now with almost two hundred members and some twenty or thirty regular visitors all wanting bookings and even re-booking sessions before they left, made running the club successfully very difficult. It was at this time, my health was also beginning to suffer slightly due to overwork and worry of trying to keep everyone happy. I almost made the decision to quit my proper day job and concentrate entirely on WAM and the club to try to make a living. Thankfully I didn't because within a few months the thoughts were turning to closing the club whilst we could and quit whilst we were winning. It was not a decision which was taken lightly and it was thought over very carefully for almost three months before I had to admit defeat. I'd made a few major errors in running TNMMC, firstly I'd run everything single handed, this was probably the biggest mistake. I asked for help from the members towards the end and had got good response and offers of help, but it was already too late. The club had become unmanageable, it had grown too big, and was too popular for it's own good. It was impossible to allow everyone to have sessions, we were already running four sessions each weekend with the odd one or two midweek and there just aren't enough days in the year to fit everyone in. I ended up turning members down when they phoned to try to book sessions purely because it was impossible to fit any more in. I hated doing this, but had no option.

Within a few weeks of this I made the decision which I've really regretted to this day and that was to close the club. Sadly TNMMC closed in June of 2002, although no sessions had been held since April of that year due to repair work being carried out to the studio. Over the time we had held messy sessions, occasionally there would be some leakage from the plastic on the floor and unbeknown to me it was slowly rotting the floorboards. Only discovered when I was replacing the carpet, so I had to call the builders in to do some much needed repairs. That was the final thing which happened in the studio and TNMMC was finished.
